I'm working on a T-20 crawler and having problems with the engine...When the engine is not under load it wants to run rich and rough. It acts like it just needs a simple carb adjustment, but all the adjustments I try to make doesn't help. When it is idling the jets can be shut completely and it will continue to run for a little while before it starts to stall. I rebuilt the carb, but the kit I was able to get was only gaskets and a float needle. Does anyone have suggestions of what to try or where I could get a complete carb kit? Any help would be welcome.

I had the same idleing problem on my 36 F 20. Rebuilt carb and same problem. Bought professionaly rebuilt carb and same problem again. Your posts reinforce my conclusion that there is no problem. Thats just how they run. I just need to keep the plow in the ground.

When yours is running rough does it push black smoke?

It just doesn't feel right to have it running like that, but I guess i'll just keep working with it and see what happens. Thanks for the reply.
