OK I hate to bring up things that dont even in the stretch of the imagination pertain to tractors but Im curious.

I been watching a show on Discovery Channel for the last two or three years called "Deadliest Catch". I think its the best show on TV, least one of the best. New season fixing to start for Opilio Crab. Its on Tuesdays at 8 CST but they show a repeat several times during the week.

Any of yall watch this show? Im just curious.

Randy: I don't think we get this show here in Canada, but then I'm a poor one to ask as I haven't watched 10 hours of TV in the past 20 years. In fact I get annoyed at my internet provider, putting what they celebs on my home page daily. I don't know why they just don't feature someone like Randy, Jay Walt, L.C. Gray, farmall a boy, James, Butch, sflem or brandon. I'll bet you folks would be more interesting.

Hi Hugh, yup, I don"t like that celeb junk either. I could care less about...well, no name comes to mind as I don"t watch/listen to "...such dribble" as a former co-worker put it. I too would much rather view some of the folk on this sight "doin" tractor stuff". I am in awe of folks who can take a tractor down; overhaul; tinker more than I can and make them run like a well-oiled machine. Why I have been known on this forum to forget to put the water in the reservoir from the carafe to brew coffee. Just ask Allan in NE. Now something I would tune in to see would be a Canadian wearing shorts! Come now, someone on this board must have that picture to share. I have even searched the archives for it. Lets see it!! Signed, not afraid to admit mie mistackes Al in Wizconsinn/,@ come on where is that period . there

Hugh you can set your home page to a blank page or whatever place you want. It doesnt have to be what they set it at.

Im sure you could get the show there cause its an cable.

I have always been a fisherman so I guess thats why I like the show so much. Except this one time....Memorial day about 10 years ago on lake Tawakoni. I got out before the sun was up and boated up the lake and was fishing by the spillway. The wind got up and the waves started white capping. It grew worse but I was so use to the lake I didnt worry to much until the anchor wouldnt hold me in my spot. To get back to where I launched I had to go directly into the waves. I was in an old skeeter tri-hull and the waves got so bad they were comming over the bow. The boat was at a 45 degree angle, waves rushing over the front, me standing at the wheel to see over the front, water rushing over the transom in the back, I couldnt even get a cig lit it was so bad. I used 12 gallons of gas going not half way to the launch site so I decided to pull in behind a concrete pump station and bail out the water and hopefull then I could make it to the launch site (bad choice). Soon as I slowed down the water rushed over the transom and the boat started sinking. I grabbed the life jacket, the boat flipped over but didnt sink all the way. I made it to the pump station and just sat there for a while with the rope from the boat still in hand. Decided to jump back in the water and get to shore. An hour or so later I washed to shore and was safe. Got the boat later and insurance covered it all.

I was a lot more careful from then on.

Ive seen it, and find it rather boring. I like shows where you learn stuff like mythbusters, dirty jobs is interesting too.

Just something about that show seems boring, sorry I cant find interest in it. Give me a good site about superstring theory and I'm happy, or anything by hawkings, or other theretical physicists.
History channel si good at times to. Good thing I dont have those stations, I'm at my moms a few hours a week and watch her cable. If I had it, I'd never get anything done around here, the internet is bad enough

Yes, have watched every show. Sometimes have missed the original broadcast, so catch it as a rerun. Occasionally question the sailers mental acuity. A good example was when Captain Harris was discussing with his younger son, whom was 14 or 15 at the time, concerning who was the toughest. This would be determined by placing a lighted cigarette on their respective arms and see whom flinched first. I'm surprised that Alaska's Child Protective Services didn't give him a call.

We only have Network TV here but I have seen 1 episode and it had me almost to the point of calling a Dish installer the next day. It had me on the edge of my chair. I realize working with cattle every day has its dangers but when Mother Nature can devistate a Captains room on a ship with a wall of water there is a whole new intrigue....WOW!

Of course I am watching it! I would agree, one of the best shows on tv. They could do w/o all the recapping, but they only have so much footage.
PS - Everybody at work is hooked on it. We tape it and watch it when we get home (You have to love spring busy season!)

I watch it occassionly but it makes me nervous. Lived and traveled on a boat (47 foot sailboat) for a while and the large seas put me on edge. Have been through a couple of 30 fot waves and I'm here to tell you, aint no fun atall. once the boat fell of the top of a large wave and when we hit bottom we were covered by water totally.
