A friend has a 560 and I was wondering if the dwell needs to be set or you just gap the points. What is the gap or dwell? Thanks.

Points set at .020 and plugs at .025 and timing is set at 29-31 degrees BTDC at 1975 RPM , now this may have been changed if that engine has been updated with 706 gas pistons and a dist change and this i can not tell ya . as i am not there to see for myself. As way back alot of them have been changed and this will make it into the 706 gas engine and all spec. must be change to the 706 C 263 spec. along with gas req. A stock 560 and 460 should be run on at least 89 octain and the 706 needs the 93 octain OR ya may just score a sleeve or two or melt a piston . Trust me on this.
