Has anybody ever converted a 660 to a 560 NF pedestal...will it work?, and what kind of weight savings if any??? Trying to think of how to lighten one up for pulling...thanks...Also would it be a legal move??? Don"t want to be called a cheater...

I suppose it could be done, but it's not as simple as yanking off the wide front and bolting the pedestal to a plate on the bottom.

The 660 is a Wheatland tractor. Never had a narrow front. Steering was achieved using an external hydraulic cylinder-assisted drag-link gearbox arrangement if I am not mistaken.

560s came in Farmall and Wheatland versions. Only Farmalls had a NFE. The steering mechanism on the Farmalls is integrated into the front bolster.

Way different designs. Like I said, it is probably possible, but not practical or easy.
