Whew. bought a Super C on Friday and had eight hours of hay cutting on it by Saturday evening. I gotta tell you, the darn thing worked like a charm. I was really impressed with how easy it steered and how the pan seat felt. I've heard horror stories about those seats, but after getting bounced around in a hard mounted Deere B seat for years, this thing was darn cushy.

It had fresh paint on it, I think the thing thought that after 55 years it was moving off to a life of leisure....Fraid Not!! It's going to have plenty of chores to do on this raggely ol farm.

Sounds like you got a good one! I like to have my toys earn their keep also. My Poor ol F-12 I doubt has ever worked so hard as when I am skidding logs up hill.

The Super C is one of the best all purpose tractors that was ever built by anyone. I have mowed thousands of acres with them. I plow ground, disc, cultivate, rake hay and just any chore that needs doing. I have even baled quite a bit of hay with them. They are fairly easy on gas and will do twice the work you would think by looking at them. I would quit farming all together if I lost my Cs. If I was limited to one small tractor it would be the Super C/C/200.

Being easy on gas was one of my decisions going into this. My JDB uses about half the fuel as my bigger tractor for raking or mowing. I'm hoping the Farmall does about the same. I looked in the fuel tank after mowing and I think its about the same as the JDB.

The only thing I would change(so far) is the 3 point setup. My ol knees can't take climbing over those bars and all. I ain't as young as I used to be, but once I'm in the seat, I'm fine.....

I would not have a 3 point on a C/Super C. But I have most of the original implements for a C. I also have several for the fast hitch version. I can pull 2x12 or 2x14 turning plows at 10 inches deep all day on about 10 gallons. For raking, mowing and cultivating about 1/3 less. One is a 1949 C with the original plow, mowing machine,cultivators,2 row planter and fertilize attachment. I did have the disc that came with it, but it was just plain worn out, so I traded it off.
