Thinking of selling an H. 1951. Has a factory wide front, new rubber on the front, average rubber on the rear. Straight sheetmetal with faded paint/decals. Swinging drawbar.
I am selling it with a snowplow set up (homemade but works great), a 2 year old 5' pull type Kingkutter rotary cutter, and what I call a "wood trailer", which is an older New Holland manure spreader gutted for hauling wood.
The tractor needs nothing other than some paint.
It starts/runs/works perfectly.
I would appreciate any ideas on where I should start. I have about $2600 into the whole outfit.

With no implements, 1500 to 1800. With the rest, 600$ more. JimN

"worth" is a hard question to answer. So many variables, especially what people are willing to do in your area. But, with all the stuff you have going with it, I'd imagine that $2000-$3000 would be fair. I know that's broad, but I have no idea what people would want to pay in NY.

Have you considered selling each item seperately? You may realize more money like that.

You're right Mike, it is hard to say how much a tractor is wortch across the country. I would say that values out here are a little higher than in some areas, since some folks are still using these H's on the small dairy farms, etc. I would sure consider selling the stuff seperately, but thought maybe someone would be happy to get everything in one package and be set.
I know that when I have shopped for tractors, implements to go with the tractor make them more attractive to me for some reason. Thanks for the reply, I guess nobody else on this board has ever had any experience selling or buying a Farmall H.

If I were in your shoes, I would answer the question "What would I like to get from it?" And "What am I willing to part with it for?"

Take those answers to Ebay, list it, and set a reserve with an amount in the area you answered from the above questions. Watch the auction and see what happens. At least you could see how high up it goes even if the reserve isn't met.
