I'd like to get a spare ignition key for my 140. I think my ignition switch is not original.
The key is a stamped metal key, marked "Cole - Boston - 83357." I found this key on the Cole Hersee web page but they apparently do not sell retail. Their catalog shows 83357 as the part number for the key. Any suggestions about getting an extra key?

I had one that broke one time and called the old farmall place and they told me that a key for a Massey Ferguson would work for on a 140. I got a key out of the old Massey Ferguson front end loader we had and it worked.

So if you have one of those dealers close you might check there.

Any hardware or auto parts store which cuts keys ought to be able to help you.

Your local IH/Case I-H/CNH dealer at a very low price.

Have you tried a CNH dealer?

If they can't help you, contact Cole-Hersee and ask for the name of a reseller near you.

Or stop at a DEERE dealer and ask for part number B17575, Cole-Hersee key @ a little less than $2.00.

Agreed.

Most CNH dealers think a 140 is a John Deere lawn mower.
