Well we finally got some decent picture taking weather up here tonight so I decided to take some pictures for the unveiling. So after nearly two years here she is the old F-12 iron horse.

Great job JJ! Now you need to find a 1-14 plow and turn under that sod! Then again that 12 will mow it! I even ran a new holland 68 baler with mine. I know you will enjoy it for years to come because you built it!

Nice job, JJ!

I've got a pile of parts (bellhousing, flywheel, motor, generator, etc) to convert my F14 to electric start, just gotta find the time to do it.

Could you possibly get a couple of closeups of the way the generator is mounted to the block, and how you mounted the starter? Always looking for ideas...

That's a real nice F-12. Did you make that generator/battery/light set up? Does it have electric starting too? What year is it?

Oh I forgot to mention it does not currently have electric start on it. But the way it is now it is all ready for one except for the expensive parts, you know, the flywheel, bellhousing and starter.

Ya Fawteen I should be able to get some pictures later on today.

Ya I made the whole electric system. I even made my own brakcet to hold the generator. It is a 1934, serial number 7878. I would like to find a flat spoke steel wheel for the front, but all the ones I've seen they want $500 or they live 1,000 miles away. Go figure huh?

NICE F-12!

Yeah, tell me about it. Got a '37 F-12 on rear steel, and have been looking for front steel for 10 yrs. I'm to the point where I think I'll break down and pay the $500. Cause they won't get any cheaper. Doug

I have a set of front and rear steel that I don't need--and I don't need $500.00 for the front, or that matter for the rear- I live in southern Indiana.

J.J., there ain't enough o's in cooooo ol to describe that old piece. I am going to drag me home a F series one of these days. My grandpa's brother Mike bought a F-20 new and I have seen pictures of the two of them working it. Mike sold it before I was born. The lights do look a little out of place though. Great job.

What a beauty, great photo, and great effort is its own reward when it is as fine as that. JimN
