I'm starting to think about restoring my 53 Super A. Motor's locked up, but my big question today is: how difficult is it to replace the rear axle bearings? Both rears are really wobbly, especially the left. Will bearings fix it or do I need something else?

Easy to tear down remove the bottom pan that covers the gear should be some trans oil in it. Then remove the inside cover take off the nut and the outer four bolts and the axle will slide rite out with the hub and bearing the gear will drop down when the axle clears as it is a spline fit.

That's a tough question to answer, you won't know until you tear into it.
