1206 control valves leaking

On my Farmall 1206, the control valves under the seat keep leaking out the top of the valves where the hydraulic lines or tubing connect. I have rebuilt both valves and thought I got the wrong o-rings the first time but this is the second time around and still leak bad. It only has two banks and no lines run to the front. Is there something I should check for when I remove them? Any hints when putting them back together?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Chad

Where is the leak comeing from? o'rings under fittings? pipes cracking around flange at nut? Could be caused by vibration. Have seen some use rubber hyd.hose . just my view.

The leak is right where the bolt goes through the tubing(that goes to the couplings in the back)and the top of the valve. The bolt that goes through the tube has two o-rings one on top and one on the bottom and it seem like the bottom one is leaking. If you pull the lever, oil shoots out-is there a flange on the bottom of the tubing that seats into the valve that could be damaged?

The tubes themselves are fine no holes or cracks.

Thanks

Chad

I would say that you might have damaged the o/ring when you installed it , did you use the thin o/ring?

No the o-ring that is supposed to be in there (per the dealer??), and the one that came out of it was thick. Should I torque them to a certain ft-lbs? The other valve doesn't leak a drop and I used the same o-rings, but the inside one sprays hy-tran everywhere. That is why I was wondering if there is a flange that could be damaged.

Thanks for the help.

Chad
