...I put a long post about cleaning rust w/electric current down below-then though I should of just started another one, but was too lazy to re-type it. I think Steven@nd used it too. Did you look at Baggsey's article in the Case Archives? He had pictures in one of them. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

Iread the archives over on the case board, pretty interesting. I think I was doing it right, because I did get results, but not the results others have had. I think maybe I wasn't putting enough current to it, and also it was cold in my shop, had to give up when the solution froze solid.
I wonder if I can find a large enough container to fit the manifold from my M into?

40 gallon storage totes work well. I also have a 100 gallon glue container I got from a local lumber mill that I keep eyeing.

Thought about doing that to a manifold. I think a plastic barrell would work, but its gonna take several boxes of washing soda to get the solution strong enough. I put enough into mine so that it wouldn't dissolve any more. It seemed to work best when it was new, so I just kept adding until it started to accumulate on the bottom of the bucket-then I'd stir it up every once in a while. That seemed like it helped the process. (Another $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

I think I know where I can find a plastic 55 gallon drum, will have to pay for it though, darn!
Another thing to try, your old stainless tableware makes an excellent sacrificial material, not much left of it when done though, so make sure the wife is done with it before you carry it out to the shop!
