Hydraulic lift is weak on 756D Farmall

I have a Allied 595 loader running off the two rear auxillary values. When I pickup a 1000 - 1600 lb bale of hay with the two point (I have a bale spear mounted to this) it lifts it easy. I also have a clip on spear that I put on the loader bucket. When I try to lift the same bale with that, it will not.

Am I expecting to much or do I have a problem some where. I just got the loader so I have no previous experience.

On my 806 there are seperate pumps for the 3-point and the rear outlets. My was weak on the rear outlets (should be 1600 psi) so I put in a relief valve from a 1066(2500 psi). What a difference.

With the bale sticking that far in front of the tractor no wonder it wont lift. Lots of loaders will not lift 1600 lbs way out in front of bucket. You can change and go with a larger dia cycl then you will bust loader or else upset tractor. Take bucket off and mount spear direct on the loader frame this will place load probably 30 or so inches closer to the front of loader.

It may not be the pump. Check the relief valve that is right below the seat on the right side. It is a square plug. I have put in a valve for a 1066 for higher pressure. I had a Westendorf loader on a 706 German diesel and had the same problem. After I put in the heavier valve, it worked good. I was told that it could ruin the pump, but that was 25 years ago, and it is still going.

It should lift a 1500lb. bale with ease go to a tractor supply or some type of farm supply store and get a Hyd. gage put a male end of a snap coupler on it you should be getting 1500PSI at your remotes if not start with your filter but proably need a new pump if you do they are very easy to change if you have a service manual it will tell how if you don't have one you need one anyway.
