I have purchased a 1928 10-20 tractor. I have had the Mag fixed, new wires, plugs, etc. Starts fine, misses on cylinder 2 and 3. ( the middle ones) There is spark at the wire and at the end of the plug. Any ideas why it is missing. Valves appear to be working to. Advise ASAP Thanks and all suggestions will be greatly appreicated.

I had a similar problem on my H. Brand new tune up with brand new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, etc. Champion plugs fired and ran the same way as it did before. They were brand new. Tried new Autolite plugs, still purring like a kitten. I'm convinced.

The last time that same thing happened to me those same two wires were crossed. I had forgotten to take into account the direction change in the H4 magneto.

Thanks, Theman! I changed the wires and it runs very good. Few minor things to work out yet but as least I have it running on gas. Need some repairs on the Fuel tank but nothing big. Do you know if people are running them on Diesel rather then Kerosene? Someone told me this was OK. Would appreciate more infor if someone can provide. Thanks, Maestro
