I am new to tractors so forgive my ignorance. I have a 51' M. Behind and inside of the christmas tree is a lever that comes out of the top and leads back to right below the steering wheel. I already know what the other levers on the side do because I have a front end loader that I use a lot. What does this lever do? I have not moved it yet. Everything else works so well I am afraid to screw something up.

About all that you haven't talked about is the rod that shifts the BELT PULLY into and out of gear. Trace the rod, if it attaches to an arm coming out of the top of the belt pully housing then that's what you have got.

The only other thing would be a shutter control but it should look like a very small crank. Not all tractors had these.

GOOD LUCK
