I have a 300 block that I would like to overhaul. It has the 3 9/16 bore. What i would like to know is can this engine have 3 5/8 inch pistons put in to it without re-machining. The bore where the sleeve fits in is 3 3/4 and to get a 3 5/8 bore that makes the sleeve only 1/16th inch thick which seems pretty thin to me. I'm not trying to make a higher horsepower unit out of it, just haven't been able to find the smaller sleeve kit yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Casered, Yes you can put 350 sleeves and pistons in your 169 block. The 350 and 300 blocks are identical.
