Is there such a thing as "good used" steering wheels available at salvage yards for C's and super C's or has "time" taken them all?
If they are still around, what price should I expect to pay? I need a 15 and 17

I need new wheels for both my tractors (1-15 and 1 -17), but am not impressed with the new replacement wheels I've seen....the grips are egg shaped instead of round.

Gary,
I found the link i mentioned in my previous post the picture of the repaired product is in the parts and pieces section for a quick search the name is steering wheel-repaired. here is what he had to say:You can fix your steering wheels by filling the cracks with JB Weld then spraying Stone Gaurd on the wheel to resurface it. It is a rubber based product and can be painted too. Fills small cracks and give a texture to the wheel for grip. This one is un painted. Mark H....I am gonna try it

Gary are the wheels completely gone, deteriorated?
I saw a post a while back on refurbing steering wheels, i want to try it on mine since mine is 160 dollars to replace. He used JB Weld to fill the cracks and then sanded it smoothe and then sprayed the wheel with something called stone guard ? said it gave it the rubber feel the pic i saw was pretty impressive. I'll try to dig up the link since i just bought some JB Weld LOL

I remember seeing a post quite some time ago on this site about a company that "re-rubbers" original steering wheels, and they are nt egg shaped but I cant remember that name of the company, you might be able to find it in the archives. The guy was restoring an (a) and had a rebsite with pictures and all of the parts sources he used.
