I got the 230 running the other day after setting for 10+ years, it ran fine no missing, I turn it off. Cranked it up again and it ran for about one minute and shut off,,,I went to checking the points and the shaft in the point housing would not turn, the springs and weights behind the point jamed up and this bent the shaft and striped the gear on the shaft ,,I think I need the whole piece, part is stamped with # XB8-062187 Where can I get one,, Thanks Ben

Ben: I think that distributor fits most pre 1958 Farmalls with gas engine. I'm not 100% certain but worth checking out as scrapyard supply should be quite good if all are same. I know the SA, SC, 100, 200, 130, 230, 140 and 240 are all the same. Something tells me the larger Supers H and M, 300, 400, 350 and 450 have same distributor.

Ben: That Cub idea is really quite a surprise, as the Cub engine is quite foreign to the other Farmalls. I was reasonably sure about the larger tractors all being the same. I think there were a few other makes as well used that distributor. Seems to me I've seen that in discussions on here at some time in past.
