How do you remove an injector from a D-312. I removed the hold down, Fuel line and return but can't budge the injector. Also what seals the injector to the head? It has blow by on the compression stroke. Thanks Andy.

sometimes after they leak a wile they get carbon build up on the injecter tube, 9 times out of 10 when this happens your best bet is to drain the coolant , use a slide hammer puller, and tube and all will come out, you will need another injecter and tube, we made a puller by welding a threaded rod to a old injecter line nut put a old wrist pin on the threaded rod lenth at least 10 to 24 inches, and putting a nut on the end of the threadedrod, thus a homemade ,slidehammer injecter puller

I removed the injectors from my B 414 using two small nail pullers, one on each side, pushing down on each with equal pressure to lever them out. Sometimes a little bump was needed to get things going, but they came out with little trouble. The service manual says to clean out the holes with a wood dowel and to get new brass gaskets when reinstalling to prevent blow by.

an injecter that has no leak will come out easy, if it has leaked for a very long period of time they can get nasty to remove
