I am sitting in fron of my PC in my Red longhandled underwear! It's jobs like this that make me appreaciate IHC. Had a friend ask me to look at his Ford 4000, Oops, should have told him I was busy. It had spun a bearing and nothing in those ford engines is fixable. It is a trow away motor. So we opted for a used running motor out of a highway paver machine. It was a long hunt but everything is finally going together now, but talk about a piece of junk. The rod caps have 3/8 bolts, no keepers, no cotter pins; the hydralic pump is held on by 2 3/8 bolts, the engine oil pump 5/16. Looks like a case of "how light can we get away with Henry?" Of course the loader in the way don't help a bit. I had to shove everything forward to get the motor out. Spent dang near 45 minutes getting the splines on the clutch lined up, but when I finally held my mouth just right it all fell into place. Shoved the front end back with my new H, Worked slicker than snot.
Oh well that's my rant for today. Next time somebody asks me to work on one I'll be busy.

cuz the city farmers all want 3 point. can't blame them. I have a little Fergie but he rests in the shed most of the time. I like him to rake hay.
