I am looking for more info on this engine. I have one and am thinking of getting her back to running condition but need any info available. How many of these were made?

As far as year built and I believe production information, the McCormick-International Harvester Collection at the Wisconsin Historical Society.

I don't think they published any info on how many were made. Info is easy to get as are parts depending on what you need. Do you need any special info?

I was wondering if the motor was the same as the m or sm farmall. Everything is in tact with this engine. I think it will make a great show piece.

The U-6 power unit is the same engine as in the M tractors - also the W6/I6 tractors and T6 crawler. There's only minor differences like starter location, a dipstick instead of oil level try cocks, and sometimes a fuel pump.

Parts are readily available and reasonably priced. It's a piece well worth restoring!
