Hi,
Somebody out there that can help me?
I have a Farmall Super C.I rebuilt
the whole firing system.So I've
got lots of spark. How do you know
which wire on the dis-cap goes
to which cylinder on the block.I
know the firing is 1342,but does
1342 start back buy the gas tank
or up by radiator.I even sprayed starting fluid in the cylinders
would not fire.Readusted the valves.

Thanks for the help.

Joshua: When the number 1 piston (front) is on top-dead-center on the compression stroke, remove the distributor cap and the rotor should point to the terminal that leads to number 1 cyl. If not the dist. may be installed wrong or you may not have it on the comp. stroke. The best way to find the comp. stroke is to remove the #1 plug and put your finger in the hole while a friend handcranks the engine or with the valve cover removed just follow the 4 cycle action. After you get the number 1 in the right position, install the other wires following the firing order. After it starts, use a timing light. Good Luck, Ken

#1 cylinder is toward front (radiator).
