Do new sleeves need honing?

This may be a simple question, but; I just got new sleeves and pistons for my 46 A. The sleeves have the cross-hatch honing marks. Is this sufficient or do I need to do another hone?

The new sleeves and pistons are machine matched to each other , by far more supperior techniques than a 20.00 cylinder hone than runs on the end of your drill, Dont hone the new sleeves ! They are already to go, just clean them up good with soap and water, and then throughly dry them.

Do not even think of honing new sleeves!
Then you will not have 'new' sleeves anymore.
They are perfect, just be sure to oil up the piston real heavy when you tighten with the ring compressor and install.
I bought a rebuild kit; new sleeves, rings, wrist pins, and pistons for my Farmall M. Installed from the box and the M had incredible compression.
