Can anyone help me with either a link or picture to convert a 450 gas to negative ground and 12 volt with a one wire alternator. Any help would be appreciated.

I have converted my 400 with a posative ground to 12 negative, and basically rewired it to how I wanted it. I also have a single wire delco-remmy alternator on mine, and just put a wire from the posative terminal on the alternator, to a toggle where my cigar lighter would be, and the other side of the toggle to the posative of the battery. People say that single wire alternators arent very good, but they are a 1/3 of the price, charge the battery, and last the same amount of time. Sooner or later all alternators wear out, so it doesn't matter that much. If need more help, just e-mail at Jeffg245@hotmail.com and on the subject line write "Farmall 450 wiring"

First you move the wires on the coil, just switch them out then you put the alternator on and run the wire to the hot side of the system battery, soliniod etc and then you switch the battery cables so its neg ground. Then turn it over and go. If you have lights change them to 12 volt
