Have noticed a drip from front of the crankshaft after running it.Wondering if I can get at the felt seal without having to pull the radiator off.Hope so!Looks like remove the starting crank assy, drive pin,nut and pulley.Just got it going this week.Pieced together a narrow tread from two "hedgerow" tractors.Did all the seals, gaskets in the transmission, rearend, new brake linings too.So far just the valve cover and oil pan gaskets on the engine.Haven't seen any signs of rear seal leaking yet.Been a slow process, lots of hours in the shop, sure was fun to crank it up and drive it out of the shop for the first time!

Sounds like a lot of work to me. I think you would be better to get the radiator out of the way. I'd try winding some cotton cord around the pulley hub or just let it drip.

The cotton cord might work, but I think a new seal would be better.Time isn't an issue as this is one of my winter projects. After having the back end apart this hopefuly should be an easy one.Provided I don't have to take off the hood, radiator.
