I was wondering if you can run a w-9 on a straight pipe without harming the engine

I think a lot of 'em came from the factory with straight pipes. If you pull a couple of plug wires and fire her up, she'll sound like a Harley, but a W-9 would still handle better than a Harley :)

Watch out for the hot carbon sparks and flame from a short pipe when ya work it!

It won't hurt a thing, and it just might make a bit more power.

Michael, YOu will trash your ears long before you do any damage to the engine. Those W-9's really bellow and belch with a straight pipe. If you like how a Harley Davidson sounds with a straight pipe, you'll love how the W-9 sounds, just wear ear plugs.

We have a W-9 with a straight pipe. Does just fine and is right at factory HP. It really hollers!

Check our web site at oldoakfarmalls.com to read about it.
