What kind of horsepower can I expect with 3 9/16 high dome pistons? Everything is stock on the tractor right now, and I am ready to overhaul the motor. Thanks for any ideas!

why not go with a set of 3 3/4" overbores?? These piston & sleeve sets will put you up to about 73HP, but the block will have to be bored to accept the sleeve. IH and M&W made this conversion kit for the 560 gas, and I have the IH kits available. email for more info

I have priced boring the block out to a 301 ci, and it will rack me around $700. I don't have that kind of money, so i am going to stick w/ the high domes. It did good in the 10000 pound class with only 50 horsepower, so i don't think that I need that much. If I were to bore another 560 out, would I have to change the radiator to accommindate the heat situation. I have heard that you have to put in an 806 radiator to keep it cool. I plan to use this tractor in the field as well. Thanks for any help.

WOW!!! That must be one high priced machine shop.. I have rebuilt several engines where the cylinders had to be bored, and every time it was $8/hole. Heck, I have had machine shops install repair sleeves in several engines where the cylinder was distorted, and that only cost $125 (repair sleeve included at $75).. I guess I am lucky to have this particular NAPA machine shop in my area..
