Are the hoods for the Super A interchangable with the hood from a Farmall C?

I have a neighbor with a old rusty H and it has a Super C hood on it and it fits.

An "H" and super C hood are so much different. I find that hard to believe.

Reds: I found that one hard to believe also, C hood on an H. I could see a loose fit the other way around H hood on a C, would be one of them haywire jobs.

Van, I had an aunt who said a size 6 shoe fit her size ten feet. You say "fit", but you don't say how badly.

I didnt say it was perfect, it was cut some I think, havent seen it in years, maybe I'll go over there and look again. Its in parts status now in a hollow on the back of his farm.

Dave, from what I've heard from others, the Super A1 had a slightly longer hood and the grill was also elongated thus requiring that the gas tank also be raised slightly. I don't know the exact dimensions, but there was a difference. Perhaps the Super C also had the longer hood also. If you're thinking of buying one I would suggest that you measure and have the seller measure his before you assume that everything will fit. O.E.M. parts sells replacement hoods for all the models, and I'm sure that they can tell you what the difference is with a phone call even though you may not purchase one from them. On the other hand, maybe someone will reply to this thread and shed more light than I can. Bottom line is that NO, not all hoods are the same, and Yes, some of them are interchangeable with the "C". Clear as mud, eh?

The hood for the C is longer. You can get new ones for 100.00 pluss shipping.

Dave: I've heard people say no, but can tell you this a hood from a Farmall 200 will fit a 130 with no modifications. That is what is on my 130.
