Guys,
I was able to get back to that mower I found back in the bush at an old logging site. Here is a link to the pics. Also who can identify the old vehicle, with wooden cab etc.....

EZ, I wasnt able to enlarge your pics, but I found on our property some old horse drawn eguipment. The mower looks like the john deere sickle mower. The one I came across is a john deere number 1. the farmer and his son that used the equipment are our neighbors. The put all their horse drawn down in that one spot in 1940 when they bought their first rubber tired tractor. the dad is in his 90's

Hi, when my dad bought his uncle's farm in 1949 there was one similar to that one in a shed at the end of the barn. It was horse drawn 5 ft. cut. From another uncle, I have the original bill of sale from IH Company of Canada LTD. dated June 30, 1942 for 1 Deering Mower total $105.70.
It does do specify model number.
