I have been reading the posts on here about turbo's lately and was wondering if this 31m switzer (I don't know if that is spelled correctly) would go on my 1206. I think the Solar on it now might be shot and am looking for a little more power. Is this the turbo I should look for?? Or should I get a turbo off a 56' series? Or back to the Solar?

Plus if anybody has a ball park figure on the price of that turbo it would be great-got to watch the pocket book it needs pump and injectors too.

Thanks a lot for any help.

Theirs a place here in Iowa that rebuilds solar torbo with new bearings & seals or exchange.I have to do some digging to find address I think Fort Dodge. Will take some change .I swaped out two on my 12"s used a 3lm466 on one and a KKK on the other. The KKK is a new virsion of the old 3ld switzer like on 1256 bigger air side more boost. If you put the 3lm on use the adapter plate of a 1256 manifold from large pattern to small and use a jd exhaust houseing it will turn it harder to get the boost out of a 361.

Thanks for the info..I am going to check with the salvage yard in my area-they have lot of connections it seems like.

Is that JD exhaust housing smaller? Or is the turbine different so it spins faster? Just wondering-I don't want to go to a smaller exhaust because I just bought a chrome pipe for it-sounds dumb but this thing is getting expensive.

Thanks

Put a new turbo on my 1206 around five year's ago and replaced it with a airesearch - TO4B90. Bolted right up. Payed 325.00 from D&S tractor salvage in Sikeston MO. This was a new one.

Thanks Larry.

Think I will get in the truck and head to the salvage yard in the area this weekend.
