Found a W9 to restore, only one I have seen, can any one tell me how many of these were made or how rare they are to get a hold of. (In particular New Zealand)

Any info would be great!

Engine parts are hard to get and very expensive, worse than WD-9.

I have a collectors book, however it does not say how many were built but does give serial number info, The starting serial number for the w-9 is 501 and ends in 64014. Production started in 1940 and ended in 1953. If you do the math with the serial numbers it indicates 63,513 were built ?

My book gives slightly different ending numbers but I don't think it makes much difference as IH did not distinguish between gas and diesel 9's. I don't think there is anyway to tell how many gassers were built.
