I am picking up a set of wheel weights for my 340 rowcrop tommorow and would like to know what size and how many I need for each wheel. Thanks for any info.

You getting used weights (maybe that is all they have, I don't know). I could use some weights. Will see tomorrow morning how the plowing goes w/o weights/chains.

One thing that no one has menchioned is that these need to be square head bolts because they are recessed into the weight.

Maybe you already knew that.

GOOD LUCK

I found a place on the internet that sold square head bolts. Not cheap. If you are going to put them on and leave them on just wedge a big screw driver in against the head of the hex head bolt to get it tightened. The other thing you can do is to use readi-rod and put a nut and lock washer on both ends. Then you can bolt all of the weights on together. More work to get them all on but can be done.

Just measured mine...3/4"x4-1/2 will do fine for the regular one piece weight. If you want to have a little sticking out of the nut with a good lock washer behind the nut you could go to 5" length. I'd use grade 5 or 8.

I'll second the vote for 3/4 inch by 5 inches long, at least a grade 5. You will need a total of 8 bolts, nuts, and lock washers. You might want to look for these at your Case-IH dealer.
I might also add that for guaranteed traction in snow or on ice, you just cannot beat a pair of tire chains.

For $50 or so per pair (used of course) 3 pair will do if you don't have fluid in the tires. Just why are you needing weights anyhow. Traction, impress the ladies, sink faster in quicksand?:)
