I have been looking for a Farmall B,and was ready to bid on one on EBAY,when my wife suggested that I try calling my cousin in Mo.about my Grandpas 'B'. Well to make a long story short,He found it and the old widow who has it now is willing to sell it.What I need to know is,how wide is a regular B? I have a new trailer that is 83 in. between the fenders, will it fit on the trailer between the fenders? THANKS,JOHN,

I have picked up three farmall Bs before and every one I had the switch the wheel positions to get them to fit on my trailer. And one I had to beat off the rusted on Wheel weights cause they stuck out so far. Dont just count on it being an easy task cause then for sure it wont be. It would be good to be able to see it before you drive to get it. especially if its a long distance. Either way have fun and its great your getting your grandpa's old B

The B will be an easy fit as long as the rims arn't switched to make tractor wider. When I bought mine one rim was put on backwards making the spread too wide for my trailer. I would call to verify width.

John, my B is 78" wide at the outside of the tires. I haul it on a 7' (84") wide trailer.

If the sides of your trailer are very high, you will need all 83" of width because of the increased width at the center of the hubs, but it should work fine.

The B should be an easy fit on your trailer.

When you decide what you are going to do let us hear about the trip. Did the tractor fit your trailer, etc.? Good luck.

I will,This tractor I am considering has about a 75% chance of being the one my Grandfather and Uncle bought when my uncle returned from WWII. My cousins husband did alot of leg work(on the telephone),found it,and found that the widow who has it was going to sell it this sping. She said it is restored and looks like new, which is not the way I usually buy a tractor. In my humble opinion, the price is fair, but if I knew for a fact that it wasn't my grandads, I would probably keep looking.John
