Also check the Relief Valve in the oil pump to make sure it is seating all the way and not stuck open. Good Luck.

Check the oil pump, also. I am not familiar with the Cub, but the "A" and "B" engines, etc., are known to have a warped pump cover, and the gasket squeezes out and causes low oil pressure when warm.

Check your pump but if you still have a problem go to napa and get this Lucas engine oil you will ony need a quart remove a quart of oil from your oil pan and then ad the lucas. My tractor had the same problem did the oil lasted for 5 years and then we slod the tracto and the guy we sold it to said it still runs great.

You can do a "roll in" by just removing the oil pan. I'd recomend plastiguaging the crank with the new bearings in just to be on the safe side,, it's cheaper than having a rod come out through the side of the block!!
