I'm looking for an International Hydro in very good condition. Trouble is, I know very little about them except it's the sort of transmission I would like. I believe they were 866, 966 and 1066. Any type engine is ok. I have a year or so to look and learn. Needs to end up in Texas. Any sites where I can learn more?
Know of any for sale? Best to reply directly to me. I haven't visited this site before.
Thanks for any info. Stetts

This is just from memory but they made 656,666,826,966,and 1066 in hydro models. Of course there also was several hydro only models, the hydro84, hydro86,1026,186,3488. Might be some smaller ones I missed.

Yep he is correct. The Hydro was a transmission option until the Hydro 100 and Hydro 86 came out making it a specific model.

Buy with your eyes wide open. Hydro's are great tractors for specific tasks but terrable for tillage or heavy drawbar work. You loose 20-30% of the tractors HP through the transmission.

Harvesting, planting, loader work or anything that needs a lot of different ground speeds and a constant PTO speed, this will be the best tractor you ever used. If you want to use this for tillage work you'll be disappointed. A Hydro 966 will have the same drawbar HP a a gear 666.

Twopop, I do need to run out to ABQ in a couple weeks. Maybe could swing by and take a look. It's already a 13 hour trip and will have some little critters with me so it'd be tough. If it has 3 Pt, dual hydralics and live PTO, then maybe.... Or perhaps a separate trip. Not sure. I'd be glad to e-mail or call the seller. Thanks. Stetts
