Just bought a 1941 farmall BN that has sit up for 5 years but engine is free.It is still a 6-volt system. Mag. has been bypassed to a coil . There is a note on battery box to use neg. gnd.Distributor= r. top lead goes to cyl. 4.left top lead goes to cyl. 3. r. bottom lead goes to cyl. 2. left bottom lead goes to cyl. 1.None of this is what the manual calls for. Do i leave it like it is or change all of it.thanks for any advice.

Your description would indicate that the mag has been installed 1/2 round off. You can run it like that, or remove the mag and turn it 1/2 turn and reinstall and retime.
