Arr! Well, cranked her over for a bit this afternoon and ....Bang! Roooooar! She's alive! Wait, too fast! Okay, fixed the idle adjustment, got everything else in order, but I'm still having float issues! It likes to stick in the down position, resulting in a stream of gas pouring out of the runoff port. I've had it apart four times now and I'm still missing something as it's still doing it! Other than that, I got a good 45 minutes of running in before I shut her down for the evening. I'll keep tweaking it this weekend and report back to you all. Wish me luck! Zak and his super powered 300.

Make sure its not hitting the side of the carb and hanging up.

Rebuilt the carb on my 300 U today, and one of the floats was out of allignment. Fortunately I spotted it before I reinstalled it. Check the settings of the float and allignment carefully, and before cranking the two halfs together rock carb back and forth and you should hear the float moving freely. Good luck Geoff

Had asimiliar problem with mine. Turns out the float had a pinhole that allowed it to fill up causing it to stay down. Good luck Gus

Fixed! Turns out that I had the float support to loose to hold the pin in. When I had it sitting in one place and running, I was fine. As soon as I tried to move it around, the pin would fall out and the float would drop, flodding the carb out. I squeezed the support tight enough so that the pin won't be going anywhere without my say so, and she fired right off! On to the next problem...
