Looked at a 1960 International 300 Utility tractor today. Good paint, runs excellent,T/A(works),transmission tight and quiet, steering tight, two point hitch and three point conversion.Needs front tires and muffler.Comes with 5 ft. Bush hog. What's it worth? thanks for your comments. Carl.

Can someone tell me how you disassemble the brakes on a 300IHC-U if they are locked and you have to load a tractor that has been sitting.

Carl: the owner's got the date wrong, but as you said that's not all that important--what's 4 years out of 44? The price sounds right in the ballpark for these tractors--we had both a 300 and a 300U on my grandparent's farm, and both were good, solid tractors. If it's got a brushhog with it, you might want to also check for live PTO--some had it, some didn't, and it's handy with a brushhog.

I thought they only made that model in 1955 and '56. Around here that tractor would fetch $2500 to $3000.

Les: I thought they only made them in 55 and 56 too, but the owner said it was a 60. Guess it really doesn't matter, the condition is what's important. This one has been kept in a barn so it looks amazingly well for its age. He is asking 2500.00, but will take 2000.00 for tractor and bush hog. Are the brakes adjustable on those models? They seemed slack. Carl.

The brakes are adjustable. But 90% of them need rebuilt. Not a bad job, though. Sounds like a good deal on tractor!
