Dave, If you would rather replace than repair, O.E.M. has the Oil check valve. They are listed at $15.00 each, and have npt threads to install in your oil pan. The part # is 1998TA. you can phone them or go to their web site.

If you're looking for new ones, you might be interested in knowing that they're commonly called "petcocks."

You can get mew ones or like they said make a new knob not that hard to do. Regular pipe threads and they will screw out from the pan.

On my two C's I took a small piece of flat iron and ground it into the same shape as the original handle. I then drilled a hole in the center of it and welded it to the stem of the valves. It isn't orginal but it does work for now. I don't have my parts CD here at home so not sure if the valves can be ordered seperately or if you would need to get an entire oil pan. If you can order the valves then you would have to grind the old one off and weld the new one to the pan. I had one valve that wouldn't budge so applied a little heat and was able to get it to operate ok.
