Last fall I purchased a Fast HItch 4-14 in exellant condition. I have use a 3-14 for a couple of years behind my 400d and 450g. I have been told that I can pull 4-14's with both but is it reccomended. My ground is a heavy clay loam that I plow in 3rd with the 3-14. I gues my question to ya'll is will it work my old girls to hard or will they be fine? Thanks for the help and hope to hear from alot of you. Once again, Thank You.

I pulled 3-14's last spring for the first time with our 400. I could go as fast as I wanted in our ground..... ..... .So we put them back on the M-TA and I put our IH 540 4-14's on the 400. Pulled them in 2nd no problem.

We used to pull 4-14'semi mounted, but that was
with a 656,our ground is not real heavy either.
I would think you may be asking a lot of you're
tractor especially in heavy clay.

We would pull a 3-14 trail plow with a Super M mostly in 2nd for our type of soil. Later we had a 4-16 semi mount fast hitch plow we put on a 706 german. Run that in 4 and Low with TA up.
