Help! My 806 suddenly won't raise both cylinders on my 6 row AC planter at the same time. The fluid was low, so I filled it, changed the filter and cleaned the screen, and made sure the 3 point lever was all the way up. I went through the leveling procedure on the planter, and it either lifts one side or the other, depending on the position of the leveling valve. Acts like either not enough fluid flow or pressure. Could it be the pump, or is there a valve to check? Any help is appreciated! Just have 25 acres of beans to go!

Thanks, John

Johna: It would appear to me if it is lifting one side or the other depending on the location of the leveling device, the problem has to be in the leveler. They are designed to lift both sides at the same time are they not? I believe they are set up to divide the flow evenly to each cylinder so as to raise simultaneously. Hope I helped some.

From your description its not clear if you are using the remote hyd valves to operate the cylinders that lift the planter with each having a remote valve ciruit or both on 1 valve, if they are hooked together on 1 it sounds like a cyl problem.

I am using the remote, both cylinders operate in series off of one valve.

I hold one lever, they lift simultaneously (used to.) Now just one side or the other lifts (depending on whether the leveling valve on the planter is open or closed) but the other side does nothing, even when I continue holding the lever.

i'm not the most experienced but i would dare to say you have something not right with the planter. do you have a digger with hydraulic wings that you could try or know a neighbor with one that you could hook to quick to make sure it's not the tractor? that would be where i would start before tearing into the tractor.

do you just hold one lever and one arm lifts all the way and then the other arm lifts all the way?
