stopped in to my local caseih dealer today. they had a 2500 utility with a loader and they wanted $8500 dollars for it! the thing was very rough looking. then i went for a stroll through the green lot and there sits a 544 hydro with a loader, alittle better shape then the 2500 but not much. $9500 dollars!!! i couldn't believe it. is it just me?

the 656 gas seems to be a sleeper. I've seen several sell for less than $3000

Shhhhh .. Dont tell any one. Hugh has sold me on the 656 just waiting for some hay money to come in. Dont want evet one rushing out to get 656's untill I have mine. :-)
Was going for a 706 but I think a 656 would be the perfect haying tractor.

Neighbor has a IH-656 tractor with a IH-2250 loader that they use for haying... that is one nice little setup!!!! I would love to have it! It will handle one large round bale on the loader spear and another large round bale on the rear lift forks {at the same time}... sweet!

i'm not looking for anything in particular. just looking for something smaller and easier on gas then my 706 to pull the sickle mower and do other odd chores. it'll just be a bonus if i can stay red.
