Fasthitch Mower??

I bought an old Ford tractor recently, which came with several implements. One in particular seems to be not for my tractor.

It is a brush-hog type mower, about 4' wide. According to the tag on it, it is made by IH with the model number C2 on it. It has a single bayonet type mount on the right hand side. Appears to be complete and in working order, just can't mount it to my 3-Pt hitch.

As near as I can figure, it is for a smaller tractor with a single fasthitch mount. (like Farmall 140, maybe others)

anybody know what this thing originally went to? Any ballpark # as to what it is worth now, if anything?

Thanks, Mark

As for your post, I saw a C-2 brush-hog type mower on a cub low-boy the other day. The reason I noticed it, was I just bought a cub low-boy and might be interested in buying a C-2 mower for it, if the price and condition is right.

Bruce,
I have no use for it, so would be willing to part with it. As I mentioned, it appears to be complete (wheels, mounts, PTO driveline, etc.), and in working order (it spins by hand, but obviously I have not run it on a tractor).

If you're interested, send me an email and I can send you a couple pictures if you like.

Thanks, - Mark

Mark J. or anyone else, I'm still looking for a working International C-2 Mower complete.

Thanks, Bruce

Mark: A single pont mower for the offset Farmalls are not a plentiful item. I don't know how great the demand is either. You ocasionally see guys in discussion looking for them. You might try the on line auction of your choise. I think adding a photo will be well worth your effort. I have no idea what it is worth, but an auction will soon tell you.
