The WFE was available as Special Equipment for both the Model M and the H throughout their production. Change over from cast to tubular took place in 1946.

Go to the "Tractor Photos" page on the left side of this page and do a search for "Farmall M"; you will find several images of the cast iron WFE including before & after images.

The cast WFE is either off a high-clear MV or an older F-series Farmall (e.g. F20, F30). Either way it won't look right on a straight M. People will pay more for an M that has the right parts on it, not "cobbed" together from stuff that doesn't really belong on it.
