Can the carb. on a 350 be removed without taking the manifold off? I can't seem to get the back bolt. thanks in advance Lary

I made a wrench just for that back carb bolt, just heated up an old 9-16 wrench, bent it so it gives a bit more room, fits right on! Hope this helps. ChadS

I've had to get a small vise grip on the stud and take it out by putting the vise grip between the carb and the manifold, then turning the stud out.

After removing carb. run a tap through the nut and maybe even a thread die over the stud. After doing this you'll be able to run nut all the way up by hand & then only have to use wrench to tighten. Worked for me!

I use a right angle openend wrench on my 300U. HTH

Chads and others are right. Just make a wrench for it. Had to do that for my 300.
