This morning on YT photo adds there appears, add number 74715 a Farmall A514. This is a sharp looking tractor, and to we average North Americans it looks like a Farmall 460 with steering mast, controls and seat of a Farmall H or SH.

A few days ago Redfan set me straight on Super M, Super BM, AM, etc. One tractor he mentioned was a A554.

Another guy Bundy Bear has raised questions on these tractors and the differences between US, British and Austrailian tractors.

How about it guys, lets see a few photos in the photo gallery of these tractors. Don't forget to add items like years of production, options like 3 point hitch. Just maybe YT should make a special section in gallery, called comparison of tractors like US built M, SM, SMTA, 400, 450 and 560; British built BM, SBM, B-450: Austrailian built AM, A7, A514 and A554, and others as I'm sure I've missed a few. There may also be comparisons in smaller Farmalls, the big Standards or Utilities.

Come on guys get on here and let us know what your old iron is, don't just read about ours.

Glad you guys like the a-514. The tractor has an M rear end with band brakes. The lift cylinder for the three point is inside the rear end housing. This tractor has a standard PTO, does not have lites. The goodyear tires even say made in Austrailia. The engine is 4 cylinder direct start diesel. I also have all of the manuals for this tractor. (reprints) The hood and gas tank is like an M but the grill is one piece fiberglass that looks like a 460. When this tractor was shipped to the US it had a friend come with it in the form of a Farmall A-544 which had more power. It had power steering, lites, and an independent power take off. Any more questions please feel free to ask. I just drove this tractor to the county fair to show, it runs great.

BZ: I gather you are the owner/seller of this tractor. It caught my eye as I had never seen one. I expect that 3 point is a factory as were the 3 points on the Super BMD and the B-450. You mention an A-544. From another source, I've heard of a A-554. Do you know much on the specs of these? Do you have anymore photos? Sorry I'm not an interested buyer, just interested in some of this history. I guess you are not that far away. How receptive are you to people just looking?

Yes I am the owner and seller. The 3 point is factory. I think they replaced the a-514 with the a-544. It has more horsepower. In the International version of this tractor, I do not believe they made an A-514 only the a-544, but they made both in the farmall. I do not own the a-544 and am not sure at this time where it is located. you are welcome to come and take a look. Thanks Bob

Bundy: Very nice, very nice!! What years would the AM7 have been built? Is the H and Austrailian built as well? The gray Farmall must be either F-20 or F-30, looks too large for F-12.

Looking at the Deere line up, would those have been Austrailian built as well? they are just a bit too far away for me to take a shot at identification.

Can you tell me a bit about this A514 in the photo adds, also the A554. As Rusty put it, to us the A514 looks like an H in 460 clothing. Were those tractors 4 or 6 cylinder, gas or diesel, or available either gas or diesel. Did they have Live PTO? How about Torque Amplifier? I guess after mid 50's the Austrailian and British Farmalls all had 3 point hitch. Thanks for those photos, I may be 62 but never too old to learn more.

Kind of looks like a Farmall H wearing 460 clothes. I also would like to know more.
