Does anyone know if they make thicker head gaskets for a farmall H? I have to plane my block about .020 and the piston will be only about .030 to .040 from hitting the head with the gasket I have.

You will have room with the one head gasket. I have a .32 copper head gasket on my 45H and stock head gasket is about .75 thick. I have no problems

Does the price include counterboring the cylinders so that the top of the next set of new sleeves set flush ?

Unless you have cast iron pistons, it is hard to imagine that the rods are going to stretch much at 1800 rpm. Somebody on here will know. How close do the valves get to the piston ?

Thanks everyone for the input. I just put new liners in the block and was assembeling it when my brother in law noticed that it had been leaking coolant on the old head gasket. Now I've got to remove the liners and send it to the RIGHT machine shop.they will plane the block and counter bore the cylinders. My only concern was that the pistons will expand to much but I'm hoping it will be OK.

In my abysmal ignorance of this, the thing that occurred to me was "can you put on two?" I'll see what the wiser heads allow.

There's enough trouble sealing one.
