Hello,
I took apart my relief valve and cleaned it, no broken springs or anything. I cleaned the orifice with a screen on it , wasn"t too dirty re installed same low psi. I put a tee in the pressure line with a gauge and valve, by the pump and deadheaded it and it made 500 psi then went down to 300. 500 will lift a Gannon box blade. To get it to lift I move it fast and it will only raise 1 inch then psi will settle too low to lift. I was quoted a price for a pump a little over 100 if I remove it. Is this a good price, are the pumps rebuildable? Any suggestions? Mark

Yep - Your pump is shot. Mine easily makes 1500 psi. They are rebuildable. - I recall an ad in Antique Power or Red Power (I forget which) that will do it for around $300. $100 for a used one is a deal - IF it's good. You pays your money and takes yer chances, I guess. Good Luck!
