I got a 400 that didn't run and overhauled it. Head was cracked, repaired appears to be ok. Block was cracked beyond repair. Repaired 450 block installed with new large diameter sleeves, pistons etc. After engine warms up to operating temperature the engine runs on for a long time when I turn off the ignition (even if I pull out the coil wire) and I can hear boiling in the engine and occasionally a half gallon antifreeze comes out the overflow. Must be a hot spot somewhere. Have removed head and waterpump. No obvious signs of water leaks, blocked passages, pump looks good and the new IH thermostat is ok. It controlled the engine temperature ok. Any ideas? 400loser
