Glenn: Other guys said almost all, the reason for extra gas use in 300 is extra power. Farmalls have a great habit of giving back what you put in.

I wouldn't say that the H had any advantages over the 300. The 300 with live hydraulics, live power take off and the torque amplifier was a lot better than the old H. If there was an advantage to be had from the H it was cheaper to repair.

300 replaced SH, only advantage H had was being
a little less complicated,easier to work on and use less fuel for some jobs.My 2 cents.

The H/SH had better looking tin / design. The 350 looked a whole lot better than the 300 which always seemed to be a plain jane for all it's operational improvements. In MHO. My nickel Dick Davis
