i have a 53 super m im doing a rebuild on. its all seized up and i finally got the pistons broken loose and i know i need to pull the crank and cam because they are all rusted and marred up. so my question is how do i remove the engine? i have removed every single thing possible. i cant remove the crank without removing the engine right? any tips or ideas would be great. i have an engine hoist, a handy man jack, and a regular jack if that helps any or gives you ideas. thanks alot

I did about the same as the other two listings here. I put a jack stand under the clutch housing; removed the radiator, and front end. Sence I was gonna take the block to the shop i removed just about everything else. I put the bolts and little parts in 3lb plastic coffee cans with lids. Remove the bolts that hold the motor mounts in place. I took the head off first the removed the block. You will need to remove the 4 bolts on each side rail frame, once you do this, use your lift and remove the last two bolts at the rear/top of the block. Remember, there are two alignment studs that will come out with the block. This is not a hard task. Take you time, and the block pulls stright out. the flywheel and clutch come out with the block. Good luck

You need to split the tractor at the clutch housing. A good jackstand and floor jack under the clutch housing, and splitting stands on the front frame rails, preferably rolling splitting stands. Then remove the bolts between the rear engine plate and clutch housing, and roll the tractor apart. Then you'll see what to do.

Block up in back of motor to keep rearend up I used cement blocks and triged backed tires. remove frontend with rails seported after frontend is off use engine hoist or what I did was use a frontend loader to hold motor while i unbolted rails and the engine from the bell housing should slide apart real easy keep level with rearend pull stright out nice and easy.manual will help you put it back together.
